Good Beer in the Central Coast

John Steinbeck and his friend Ed Ricketts laughed over many a bottle of Ed’s favorite local beer, San Francisco’s Burgermeister. Although Burgermeister no longer exists and its recipe long forgotten, beer enthusiasts in the Central Coast today enjoy an ever increasing horizon of great choices. From Santa Cruz to Ventura, breweries and pubs provide options to those who prefer a small-batch, handmade style.
